Families with children are welcome to drop in at our centers and stay with their children to enjoy a number of activities that enhance each child's growth and family enjoyment.

Links & referrals to primary care centers

What is the Family Care Connection?

Family Care Connection is a family support program located in communities around Pittsburgh.  Each Family care Connection center is linked to a Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Primary Care Center.  We work in partnership with community based programs, like the Rankin Christian center in each area. 

Who is Eligible?

Everyone who comes through our doors is welcome.

 

What We Do

Promoting the health and well-being of children, families, and communities is the primary goal of our program. 

Our staff works to:

  • Support parents as they provide shelter, food & healthy life-styles for their families
  • Assist families to build on their strengths
  • Support families as they make decisions & choices

 

What We Provide

Home visits are available by family Support Child Development workers and Home visiting Nurses.  Home visits can be arranged to assist families with:

Health Education for pregnant women
Health care information for infants & children
Life Skills
Home-based child development activities
Support for new mothers
