Independent Supports Coordination
Providing supports coordination and family support services for individuals with mental retardation living in the community. The Mon Valley Supports Coordination Program offers a wide variety of home based and communal support services for clients living in the Mon Valley area. (412-464-1545)

Leaders of Tomorrow
Helping 16-25-year-olds to reach their full career potential through positive peer support, networking, exposure to cultural and educational events, and contact with professional role models. We train members in preparing resumes, provide transportation for job interviews write letters of recommendation, and support members searching for employment.

This program service, located in Washington, Pa., serves the frail and home-bound elderly through our training program of church volunteers.

Family Care Connection
In conjunction with Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, Family Care Connection is a family support program promoting the health and well-being of children, family and communities. (412-271-8355)

Children & Youth Program
After-school recreational and skill-building activities for children ill a supervised setting. For children ages 6-12, we offer arts and crafts, tutoring computer training, nutritious snacks, bible study, and more. (412-271-8313, ext. 230)

In-Home Services
We strive to prevent the destruction of the family unit and to decrease the number of children placed in foster care. Services include home-based parenting skills, including behavior management, stress reduction, problem solving, household management, home safety, and impulse control. We also offer counseling and crisis management. In addition, we bridge relationships between natural parents, children, and foster parents to create effective transitions and a positive environment (412-271-8313)

Family Services
As a proud member of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, we provide a 5-day per week food pantry for individuals and families meeting the income guidelines as well as emergency food assistance to those in immediate need.  Other services include Fuel Assistance for individuals meeting income guidelines, Income Tax Services, and participation in the monthly Senior Citizen Food Program.

Diversion East
Providing crisis intervention to area youth and their families. The program creates a safe environment for citizens of the community by ensuring that all participants of the program are supervised by adults trained in crisis intervention. Staff will work closely with existing school systems to ensure that youth attend school daily. The program will expose participants to cultural and social events, as well as assist youth in developing self-esteem and motivation in making positive life choices. (412-271-8313)

Evening/Saturday Program

This comprehensive program includes recreational social, and educational activities to meet the needs of youth and young adults who are residents of Rankin and the surrounding area. Youth and young adults can participate in the Computer Room, bible study, weight lifting, fitness training, sports, field trips, and other activities. (412-271-8313, ext. 230)

Pitcairn Family Support Center
Our trained staff provides outreach and family education services for Pitcairn residents, with the emphasis on the prevention of child abuse. Pitcairn Family Support Center, housing a fully functional food bank, is a family-focused center that helps families recognize their strengths to become better community partners.  (412-374-9010)

Learn & Serve America Program
The Learn and Serve America Program is a service initiative of the Corporate for National and Community Service.  Consistent with the principles and educational philosophy of John Dewey, the service learning model is designed to educate and prepare students through practical application. As defined through the National Commision on Service-Learning, service-learning "integrates community service with academic study to enrich learning, teach civic responsibility, and strengthen communities.  (412-271-8313, ext. 243)
